ferrante fever

It was another MASSIVE week of events at Avid Reader, seeing us hosting such literary luminaries as Don Watson and The New Yorker‘s Mary Norris, as well as launching our own Christopher Currie’s Clancy of the Undertow (did you see the glowing review in The Guardian last week?). The year’s big titles are jostling for position in the rest of the top ten, with My Brilliant Friend, A Little Life and The Natural Way of Things sure to appear on our 2015 list.

We also hosted the always excellent Mary-Rose MacColl for our final Big Breakfast Bookclub of the year (if you missed out, don’t worry; we return in February with Cass Moriarty!).

Christmas is nearly upon us, so don’t forget to browse our wonderful new website for great gift ideas, or drop in and make use of our free giftwrapping!

Until next week… keep on reading!
